Hi I’m Bree
I am Dr Bree Gorman (they/them), a DEI strategist, educator, and coach who helps organisations understand why their inclusion efforts stall and what needs to change operationally for them to work.
I work with DEI and People & Culture leaders who are investing time, energy, and resources into inclusion, but not seeing meaningful or sustained change. My work focuses on identifying the organisational conditions that prevent good intentions from translating into everyday behaviours, decisions, and outcomes.
Through coaching, programs, and workshops, I support practitioners and organisations to shift from individual effort to systemic impact. My approach is practical, data-informed, and grounded in intersectionality, with a clear focus on redesigning systems rather than placing the burden on individuals.
I am also the host of DEI will not Die, a podcast that cuts through the noise with sharp, practical insights for DEI practitioners, people leaders and changemakers.
My background in research science, research management, and business development brings a unique perspective to DEI work. Paired with my training in integrated coaching and hands-on experience as a DEI manager, consultant, and educator, I combine analytical thinking with practical people-focused solutions.
I’ve built and refreshed over 25 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategies and action plans, trained over 1000 people and coached over 120 DEI consultants, practitioners or advocates. I have done this across a range of public and private organisations from hospitals to local government to professional services firms. With the goal always being to empower and enable organisations and individuals to create meaningful and sustainable inclusion.
